The custom-designed Hilton Garden Inn was constructed as part of the highly successful 1.4 Million SF East End Development at the Historic Goodyear Tire campus in Akron, Ohio. The HGI stands as the first new hotel built inside Akron city limits since 1980.
The five story, 93,600 SF hotel sits on a 3.16 acre site and includes 139 Guestrooms and upgraded meeting facilities. Amenities include an open dining room and bar area supported by a gourmet kitchen, a 24-hour fitness center and an indoor pool/whirlpool. While the project conformed to Hilton’s prototypical standards for a Full Service Hilton Garden Inn, numerous upgrades were incorporated into both the interior and exterior design of the building at the request of IRG.
