The new 9,900 SF, one-story building on the campus of Urban Community School serves as the new home for Urban Squash Cleveland. The facility features four squash courts, including an all glass court surrounded by over 2,000 SF of observation and teaching space. A 50’ x 30’ classroom divisible into two smaller rooms provides flexible education areas. The new business office serves as Urban Squash Cleveland’s headquarters. Additional program support space includes locker room and storage facilities.
The building is prominently located at the corner of W. 47th and Lorain Avenue, and the KAI north elevation design redefined the street edge that formally was consistent throughout the historic Lorain Avenue Landmark District. The exterior materials include brick and stone accented by areas of metal and glass to complement existing school campus.
