In St. Anthony of Padua Church KAI has incorporated a main assembly space with seating for over 1,000 people, an intimate daily mass chapel and a multi-function fellowship wing into a 23,000 SF facility of distinctive and dramatic design. The building was sited to harmonize with the existing rectory building and take advantage of the existing parking area while preserving as many as possible of the existing trees on the site. Through value engineering starting in the early stages of the design and continuing through the working drawings, the result has been a cost-effective and still very handsome solution to the design challenge. Cost estimates were revised and updated at each phase of the building process providing the Owner with accurate information with which budget decisions were made.
